HIPS
Acupressure Spikes
The acupressure spikes/needles (9,100 pieces for the acupressure mat set and 1,900 pieces for the acupressure knee cushion) or also called lotus flowers are made from HIPS material, a medical-grade fireproof polymer based on rubber for better stability and durability. This harmless material is also used to make children's toys.
The spikes were connected to the fabric using a heat welding process, without any adhesives!
